Mike Vrabel is a professional football head coach of the New England Patriots in the NFL. He was born in Akron, Ohio on August 14, 1975. The 2021 NFL Coach of the Year has guided many NFL teams like the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns before coming to New England to spearhead the Patriots team. Vrabel's head coaching portfolio includes his six-year-long journey in Nashville from 2018 to the 2023 season. In his six-season tenure with the Tennessee Titans, he had 4 winning seasons, including one AFC Championship appearance (via Pro Football Reference). Vrabel's coaching resume also includes his stint in college, which came with the Ohio State Buckeyes, from 2011 to 2013.

Vrabel's first introduction to the NFL happened way back in 1997 when the Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft with the 91st overall pick. However, after spending four seasons in Pittsburgh, Vrabel ended up in New England, playing for the Patriots in 2001. According to Pro Football Reference, Vrabel concluded his 14-year-long career by collecting 762 total tackles, 63 tackles for loss, 41 forced fumbles, and 11 interceptions.

However, in his career as a football player, he won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. He played in Super Bowl XXXVI, where the New England Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams (now Los Angeles Rams) by a score of 20-17 to win his first Super Bowl ring.

He scored a receiving touchdown in Super Bowl XXXVIII, where the New England Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers by a score of 32-29. He also scored a receiving touchdown in Super Bowl XXXIX, where the New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 24-21 (via Pro Football Reference).
